Why Being Single at the Holidays Ain't a Bowl of Cherries

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post about how being single at the holidays ain't all that bad.

Then I promised to write a follow-up about how it ain't so great, either.

But you know what? I'm not going to.

Because I'm already sorta quasi-depressed over being single YET AGAIN at the holidays. And if I write a post about it, it may just throw me over the edge into total Scroogedom.

Instead, I think I may just order myself one of these and hope it brings me a little elf of my own this Christmas. Eff you, Scrooge. (Actually, Scrooge McDuck.) I don't need your bad attitude rubbing off on me this year.

Way to look on the bright side!!
I'll bet many single guys are feeling wistful about being unattached at the holidays and/or annoyed at relatives grilling them about their love lives. Perhaps the future Mr. AAB's holiday blues will inspire him to redouble his efforts to find you come January!

I don't like being single during the holidays because it means I don't get to challenge myself to find the perfect gift. I love that.

I'm OK with being single because it means that I don't have to go to half-assed parties with people I barely know and make inane smalltalk.

HG -- ooooh, I love that line of thinking! I hope you're right. :)

Peter -- OMG, I also pride myself on being the best gift-finder too! We may have to "pretend date" this year just so we can see who finds the better present.

I think those combined with the ribbed thigh high stockings should help on getting you a little elf of your own ;) lol

Happy Holidays!!

@peterdewolf Thanks for being respectful of the elderly. Santa will be extra generous with you this year for being so kind.

Remember all the cash you use to spend at the holiday's when the Murse was in your life? I say...you take the money and buy yourself something super nice and fun!

Just an idea! But a good one!

Tall, blonde, dark, and lean
Rough and tough and strong and mean?
