Dear 2009 Dating Life,
It's not you, it's me.
Actually, check that.
It is you. What a crappy year you've been to me.
You were all about you, weren't you? First you brought me some major dating (and blog) dramz; then a boy who is pretty much everything I look for in a guy -- but who lives out of town; then a guy who couldn't form a sentence and one who couldn't form a memory; and just a general lack of activity on the dating front.
So, it's over. I don't want to hear from you again. Or see you again. Don't bother sending me letters or flowers or calling to try to win me back like some other ex-BFs have done.
I'm moving on to bigger and better. His name is 2010. And no matter what he's like, he'll never treat me as badly as you did.
So, see ya, 2009. And good riddance.
From here on out, it's all about 2010: The Year of Good Men.
xoxo (but not really) --
Always a Bridesmaid
P.S. I'm not really a bitter SOB, readers. You know that. I'm just REALLY looking forward to getting this year behind me. Thanks for coming along for the ride... and for keeping me sane in the process. Smooches to you! I hope we don't break up too. :) Happy new year!

I am not so sure 2009 was good for much! I like this post... and had to read back on the other posts just to see HOW much you are looking forward to 2010!! Oh my.
Can't wait to see what the next year has in store for you :)
2010 will be better!
Oh, and I forgot to post this to your St. Nick posting. When I was in mass the other day, the priest said to pray to St. Ann. He said the prayer is "St. Ann bring me a man." It was part of his homily about patron saints. No joke. Glad I go to church!
Found this for you for 2010
Year 2010 Romantic
Didn't it seem to you like your love life in the last while was sort of a victim of outside circumstances, as much as anything else? In 2010, this will no longer be the case. You will be seeing your romantic goals (and the people you involve yourself with) through new and clearer lenses.
Regardless of what kind of relationship you're in at the time, March and April are going to come with more than the usual amount of Spring Fever. If you aren't involved with anyone, this could give you the impulse to get involved. And if you are in a relationship, this could give you the impulse to either shake things up, or move on entirely. Put a little thought into it first, and make sure that your impulsiveness is tempered with wisdom.
As a complicating factor, you're not going to have a shortage of romantic opportunities, whether you want them or not. It's as if your attractiveness has been turned up a notch -- or maybe people are just paying more attention. If you're single this can't help but be good news, but again can be challenging if you are in a relationship that needs tweaking but not trashing. As a result of all this attention, don't be surprised if you become the object of some jealousy from your romantic partner(s), particularly in May and June
Love,
Blogdad
